I had a head operation (2016) is a photo-essay about the feeling of speechlessness, the
loss of words. A sympton that can occur after a head operation, is the absence and
missing of words. Here the symptom becomes a metaphor for those moments, when
speech gets to its limit of what one whishes to express. This idea refers to Wittgensteins
aphorism „The limits of my language mean the limits of my world.“
